Swim (watercolour animation)

This animated watercolour expresses the shifting physiological changes within the body.

Swim is a series of watercolour paintings combined to create a stop-motion animation. The soft watercolour palette is combined with raw hand-made pigments from earl grey tea and charcoal, reflections of morning and evening rituals. The audio includes recordings of bodies of water, and the video along with the music can be looped to replay in an endless rhythm. I created 85 hand-made watercolour paintings, and 255 frames included in my first stop-motion animation.
